End to End website links

For many years Ian at http://www.users.waitrose.com/~ianclare/lejog1.htm maintained a website which included the ultimate list of links to web sites about Land's End to John O'Groats cycling trips. It appears that Ian stopped updating his site in 2008, confirmed when Ian hasn't responded to my emails. so to continue his great work I have gone through his list of links, removed the broken ones and reproduced the ones that still work below, and started to add new links If you would like me to add a link to your site then send me an email.

Rob is also carrying on Ian's good work at his site here

For other links not related to LEJOG Travelogues, click here

For links to other LEJOG / JOGLE routes that are available on online mapping sites, click here. Do you have a route I can add?

In June 2009 Mike Whittaker and his mate Phil cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats in 8 days. They took a 920 mile east of the Pennines route via their home town of Nottingham. They  travelled very light and found B&B and Inn accommodation speculatively...

Megan says: The best ideas are always thought up under the influence of alcohol, preferably within the confines of a pub. (I couldn't agree more! - Al) Whether this turns out to be a good idea is yet to be seen, but it was certainly dreamed up under the right circumstances.
Megan is raising money for The British Red Cross Society as a way of thanking their victim support service for supporting them after a house fire. I hope you raise loads of money Meg, I didn't even know the support service existed. Scheduled to ride JOGLE in 2010

A great site, definitely worth a look.

Al mentioned he had always wanted to cycle from John O’Groats to Lands End as he was approaching the young age of 60 he thought it was about the right time to attempt it. Nick said it sounded like a good idea & he would like to join Al.  We take so much out of life. So this was the ideal opportunity to give something back & to try & help other people not so fortunate as us.

Scheduled to start May 29th 2010

This is the blog of a (mad or what?) girl (Welna Bowden) that wants to do the Land's End to John O'Groats Bike Ride in June 2010. Leading up to this event will take a lot of guts, so I may as well start blogging about it to keep sane!!

Pete last year did London to Paris and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and this year wanted to set a bigger target.

He's doing JOGLE instead of the other way because he figures it is going to be a bit easier to get home from Cornwall than the highlands of Scotland.

The plan so far is to take about 12 days to do the ride, roughly 120km a day, which will give enough time to hopefully be able to take in the sights and of course stop for a few pub lunches along the way.

Planning for JOGLE around June/July/August 2010,

A crackin idea and one of my favourite LEJOG sites. The plan was simple - to get from Land's End to John O’Groats, by foot or by bike, without spending a single penny. The reason for doing it was to prove that hospitality and generosity is alive and well amongst the people of Britain.

Wishyouwerenthere Not a lot written, but if you have broadband and click on the map and then the links to 'All' or individual days....and then click on 'hybrid'... you can see a line unfold that marks out the route bit, all with mapping overlaying satellite pictures.
